For-rest retreat is located in beautiful Salmo, BC. Thirty minutes south of Nelson.
We are excited to offer a 2 day women’s retreat this November. Embrace your goddess nature, rejuvenate your spirit and connect with other beautiful souls in this 2 day retreat.
Empowering women to embrace their inner and outer beauty and connection to the divine feminine, embodying the essence of feminine sexuality, wisdom, softness and strength!
Saturday: Ground, Move, Connect, 10am – 7pm
We’ll begin our Saturday in sacred community with an opening circle—an intentional space to arrive fully, connect with the group, and set heartfelt intentions for the day ahead. From there, we’ll gently ease into our bodies with a nurturing yoga session, designed to awaken presence and breath.
Afterward, enjoy a light snack and some spacious free time before we shift into a high-vibe, joy-filled dance session led by the radiant Emily—no experience needed, just bring your energy and openness to move.
A wholesome, nourishing lunch will follow, along with space to rest, reflect, or journal as you wish. In the afternoon, we’ll drop deeper into self-care: soothing herbal foot soaks, intuitive card pulling, the gentle healing of tuning forks, and the restorative power of Yoga Nidra accompanied by a dreamy sound bath.
As the day winds down, we’ll gather again in circle to integrate and connect. Throughout the day, Aimee will be offering personal astrological readings during foot soaks and free time—a beautiful opportunity to explore your cosmic blueprint.
Sunday: Nourish, Restore, Celebrate: 9am – 5pm
Sunday invites you to sink even more deeply into rest and restoration. We’ll begin with a morning yoga practice to ground and awaken, followed by nourishing meals and open time for sauna sessions, forest walks, or simple stillness—whatever your body and spirit call for.
As a special offering, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in an empowering and playful boudoir photo shoot—an experience of self-celebration, beauty, and embodied confidence.
We’ll close our weekend in community with a heartfelt circle to honor what’s been shared, released, and awakened.

Facilitators
Chevayo
Retreat Facilitator, Certified Yoga Instructor
Blessed to have a home, nestled in the beautiful mountains of British Columbia with my daughter, I find joy in hiking, beekeeping, leading local community yoga classes, facilitating retreats, being in nature and exploring in the awe-inspiring mountains and world travels.
As a dedicated student of my practice I have completed 200 Hatha RYT and 200 Vinyasa RYT with continuing certifications in Anusara Yoga, Trauma Informed Somatic Healing, Sound Healing, Breath Work and Wilderness First Aid.
I’m a retreat facilitator and co-owner of Exhale Adventures a business that combines all of my passions for sharing the healing benefits of wellness and nature with others. I love to assist students in shedding self-imposed limitations and foster a profound connection with their breath, body, inner selves, earth, the web of life and the possibility of living from a more grounded, vibrant and joyous existence.

Johanna
Retreat Facilitator, Certified Natural Chef, Mountain Bike & Trail Enthusiast
Johanna developed a love of nature and trails while growing up in the Canadian Rockies, where she spent many years as a lodge chef and hiking guide, before moving to Colorado and eventually Salmo. Her lifelong dream has been to develop a property with trails and a gathering space where people can come to relax, be in nature and have space for personal growth. Johanna became a certified natural chef at Bauman College in Boulder, Colorado and is excited to prepare some delicious and nutritious food for the retreat.
When she is not busy managing For-rest Retreat with her husband Jon or running retreats with Chevayo, she can often be found working on building new trails on the property (or out enjoying the trails with her dogs Sunny & Buddy)

Samm
Boudoir Photographer
Samm Moore is a multimedia artist graduate with a BFA in Film/Video and Integrated Media at Emily Carr University in Vancouver in 2017. Moore’s practice primarily focuses on pyrography, specializing in animals and landscapes. Born in Banff AB and raised on Vancouver Island, much of her inspiration comes from her surrounding environments of the mountains and the ocean. She is currently living in Salmo BC.

Emily
Dance Instructor
Emily has had the good fortune of participating in dance classes of various styles for most of her life and is so blessed now to share some of the fun with her community ❤
She feels that music and movement together are some of the most beautiful expressions of life that can transcend so many of the hardships of human experience and remind us of the infinite joy and light within and all around us. Also, that dancing is one of the most fun ways to stay fit in mind and body!

Aimee
Astrologist
From boardrooms to the stars, I have traversed many fields of exploration. Nutrition, herbal studies, botany to organic farming, nonprofit work educating and publishing on the vast inequalities of our food systems. Since 2014, I have the privilege of serving 24 communities of North Kootenay Lake, having been elected as the Director for Area D, Regional District of Central Kootenay.
While my commitment to fostering community resilience remains steadfast, I believe that the heart of all we can achieve lies in understanding human nature. When we truly know ourselves, our unique blueprints—we unlock the capacity to live authentically and contribute our best to the greater whole. This is where astrology comes in.
During the early months of 2020, amidst the collective pause of stay-at-home orders, I immersed myself in the study of astrology. I progressed from foundational courses through to earning my certification as an Astrologer from the Rising Women Mystic Astrology program. Since then, I have continued to expand my knowledge while nurturing my home-based practice.
