Deep Breathwork – Fundamentals & the Home Practice
April 10, 6:30 – 8:00pm with Wahsonti:io
Beginner friendly. Those who have practiced deep breathwork/overbreathing before may find some material repetitive – though most welcome to join in to get some review and more guidance on the home practice. Your breath is your lifeforce, your healer, and your closest friend. Like asana and other mindfulness practices, the home practice is the core of breathwork. In this workshop I will teach the fundamentals of developing a home practice. You will gain the tools you need to approach deep breathwork from the light morning coffee session, to the deep evening ritual, and within the crossover. All levels can be practiced solo, safely, and with confidence. We’ll explore how to prepare our mind, body, and spirit. This includes how to approach breathwork from dysregulated states of being: groggy, sick, depressed, or stressed, to help us return to a regulated state. There will be hands-on guidance for each participant on breath technique, as well as teaching the mindfulness component which is so key to meeting things in a good way. We’ll explore creating your own deep ritual practice (altars, words of ritual, and other elements). We will finish with a shorter, non-ceremonial practice to jazz up our bodies with immunity and regulate our nervous systems. Participants of this workshop and those with previous experience will be invited to attend a Breathwork Ceremony. This will give us the chance to practice in community with less explanation and deeper ceremony. Skennen (peace) Wahsonti:io
